Florida Lighthouse Day Sept. 16, 2006
Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 was Florida Lighthouse Day by proclamation of Governor Jeb Bush, by Mayor John Rayson of Pompano Beach and by the Broward County Historical Commission.  U. S. Representative Clay Shaw read a proclamation into the Congressional Record.  Palm Beach County also recognized the day as Jupiter Lighthouse Day.  The following lighthouses celebrated the day in various ways.

Jupiter Celebrated With 2 For 1 Admission
Offering 2 to climb the lighthouse for the price of 1, the Jupiter Inlet
Lighthouse had 235 people climb the lighthouse on Lighthouse Day.
